2025 marked a significant milestone for Everton Park Poll Merinos and one we are incredibly proud to reflect on. This year officially saw Everton Park become a registered Poll Merino Stud, a goal that has been serval years in the making as we quietly built and developed our breeding program behind the scenes.

With excitement and anticipation, 2025 gave us the opportunity to finally showcase the genetics and direction we have been working towards.

In July, Everton Park attened the Australian Sheep & Wool Show for the very first time. The event provided a fantastic platform to introduce our sheep to both fellow stud breeders and commercial producers, with many getting their first look at Everton Park genetics. It was a valuable opportunity to connect with the wider industy, receive feedback and share our breeding objectives with like-minded producers.

We also attended the Victorian State Merino Field Day, another important industry event that allowed more people to inspect our sheep and gain an insight into the type of balanced, productive Poll Merinos we are striving to breed.

In our inaugural selling year, we chose to market rams through private selection, while also offering three rams in the Australian Sheep & Wool Show Merino Ram Sale. We were extremely pleased with the outcome of our first season, selling 68% of the rams offered and reaching a top ptice of $3,000 to Hyanm Poll Merino Stud. The sale team featured progeny by Bennmann 200244, Borambil 220366 and a selection of Moorundie Poll sires, combining genetics that continue to shape the foundation of the Everton Park flock.

We were proud to averaged $1,500 across the season and even more encouraged by the support received from new clients. Everton Park genetics travelled across a wide range of environments, from the higher rainfall country around Beeechworth, VIC, through Central Victoria and into the Southern Riverina of NSW.

As we reflect on the year that was, we are incredibly proud of what has been achieved in Everton Park's first official year as a registered stud. The support, encouragement and interest shown throughout the season has been greatly appreciated and gives us enormus confidence for the future.

Looking ahead to 2026, we are excited for the opportunities on the horizon and remain committed to continuing to improve and stregthen the Everton Park breeding program. We look forward to coming back bigger and better in the years ahead.
